Help for Homeowners in Trouble
This has been a very challenging time for those of us in real estate. One of the most difficult things has been to watch helplessly as clients, friends and colleagues have been caught up in this maelstrom and lost their homes.
I am often a bit reticent to recommend services to assist people in these situations mainly because there are so many shady operations out there simply preying on people who are already suffering. However, recently I have come across two services that may be able to help people navigate their way to the best possible outcome of a challenging situation.
The first is a website called www.youwalkaway.com. They have been written up in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and on various real estate and financial industry websites as being a good source for help and direction whether you are considering a short sale, foreclosure or loan modification.
The other is a smaller company called Home Rescue Programs and there is a woman there named Carol Long who was recommended to me. Their website is www.homerescueprograms.net and Carol can be reached at 310-612-9942 or carol@homerescueprograms.net.
